Wesekh
The Wesekh is a personal ornament, a type of broad necklace present in images of the ancient Egyptian elite. Deities, women, and men were depicted wearing this. They loved to wear a variety of necklaces and collars and only the wealthy could afford gold, silver or precious stones, but shells, wood and bone were more readily available. Collars made from precious metals were often given as gifts by pharaoh to loyal supporters and were a source of great pride.
